Prem Dev Dileep is an independent filmmaker, writer, director and editor based in Bengaluru, India. His filmmaking journey began with a passion for visual storytelling and a desire to explore human emotions, relationships and the complexities of everyday life through cinema. With a background in graphic design and video editing and more than a decade of experience in visual media, Prem brings a strong understanding of composition, editing, visual language and storytelling to his films. He completed his Diploma in Graphic Design & Video Editing from Animaster Academy in 2012 and has continued to develop his craft across design, post-production and independent filmmaking. His independent filmmaking journey includes Agalu (2019), Parisara (2020), and Co-Love (2023), through which he has explored different themes, characters and narrative styles while developing his voice as a filmmaker. Prem is particularly interested in stories that examine human relationships, emotional conflict, social expectations, identity and the choices people make when confronted with difficult circumstances. His approach focuses on creating characters who feel human rather than simply good or bad, encouraging audiences to question their own perceptions and assumptions. For Prem, independent cinema is an opportunity to tell stories that may not always fit conventional formulas — stories that provoke thought, create emotional conversations and stay with the audience long after the film ends.
